Feedback from my Questionnaire

After getting the feedback from my questionnaire which I sent not only to peers but to family and friends outside of school, I was then able to put my answers into pie charts and graphs which make it easier to compare, I also annotated them giving viewers of my blog a clearer and more detailed response.

Having a mix of both genders answering my questionnaire gives an unbiased opinion on the answering of the questionnaire. 





How old are you?

As I wanted a range of ages answering the questionnaire the result was good, the majority were 17-19 so an age group well known to me.

What is your favorite genre of music? 

The majority of the pie chart shows that 'pop' was the favorite genre chosen by our highest age range 17-19's, this could suggest that pop and 17-19 year olds have a strong link.

It could also suggest that the 'pop' industry could be the most popular and the biggest earner in the music industry.


Where do you watch your music videos?

As suspected You Tube and Music Channels were the highest contenders in the way in which people watch music videos. Music channels include well known channels such as MTV and The Box.. You Tube has an amazing videos 100,000,000 viewed daily the majority being music videos. Also many music channels such as Viva and 4Music are now on any freeview package so easily accessible.

How often do you watch music videos?

As you can see in the graph many people watch music videos everyday, this indicates making a popular music video will increase the sells of your song, many artist are turning to making high budget intresting videos to go alongside their songs in order to increase publicity. Also if videos are spoke about at school or work the majority of people will load up You Tube on their mobiles and stream the video straight away to show their friends.

Overall the feedback from the questionnaire has given me possible target audiences and genres to follow in order to make a successful and popular video. It also gives the idea that music videos need to be interesting and potentially controversial in order to spark interest and popularity.

Questionnaire

After observing the 5 videos I hose to analyze, I then had to do further research into the most popular genre of music. From this further research was done to give me a brief outline of how the audience liked to view the video, what contents they'd like to be included and how regularly they watch them. The main objectives of this survey are to have feedback from atleast 20 people all of different ages and gender. By opening the questionnaire up to anyone it gives more variety into the answers rather than narrowing it down to only classmates meaning a different angle on how people watch / use music videos. 

It will also enable me to see how I can direct my chosen target audience depending on the music genre in favor. 

The variation of ages answering my questionnaire will also favor my idea that only younger audiences are interested in demographics due to them using the internet more frequently than older generations.
